Agency: Media Dimension Pte Ltd
Job: Sub-brand naming
Why I Wrote What I Wrote:
Agency called while I was about to go on my short holiday and asked for a few brand-name options for client's other range of products catering to the budget-conscious consumers.
Waiting for transport and armed with adrenalin-packed grey matter and my cellphone, I came up with a few options, some of which I admit, were rather blatant like CHEEP! Eggs (吉!蛋), but I rather liked GREAT Eggs (吉利蛋), VALU-EGG (唯乐蛋), ECOTASTE (益可得) and SUNNYSIDE (顺利士/ 顺利十) , "十" being the Chinese word for ten and because there are 10 eggs in a pack, as I used simple and easy-to-remember words and also created similar-sounding yet meaningful Mandarin names.
Unfortunately, client decided to use my boss' own suggestion (which I'd also created a Mandarin name for) so the rest is history. But I still got paid. ;)
