Job: Editing Introductory Text

Why I Wrote What I Wrote:

By chance, a friend working at client's had mentioned their requirement for a copywriter who can focus solely on editing introductory texts for their educational materials. Got in conversation with their executive but unfortuantely client decided not to outsource this job after all. By then I'd actually already done the edit but hadn't submit yet. Here's an excerpt:

Before:

Since 1995, Singapore students have consistently emerged tops in Mathematics in the Trends in Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) conducted by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). The Primary Mathematics series was at the heart of Singapore’s national math curriculum as it achieved its successive TIMSS victories. Written and developed in 1982 by the Ministry of Education, Singapore, the Primary Mathematics series was the only mathematics series used in Singapore primary schools up until 2001.
