I was approached for this editorial project by a colleague in the teaching field, Dr Rick Freeze from University of Manitoba, Canada.
I had had the prior opportunity to implement his reading remediation programme, Precision Reading, co-presenting my findings with him at the 2014 Asia TEFL Conference in Kuching, Malaysia. The enthusiasm I have for and prior knowledge I had gained about said programme likely prompted his consideration of my services for this current publication.
This project involves the editing of content and language style of both books in the Precision Writing programme: the Instructors’ Handbook, instructing teachers how to implement the programme, and the Instructors’ Sourcebook, a comprehensive collection of learning resources to be used in Precision Writing. A most meaningful and inspiring project to kickstart the year.

Why I Wrote What I Wrote:
Musician friend had requested an eye over his band's information on social media and a proposal of stronger text for branding. After some delving into the origins of the band's name Brontyde, new copy was created to link the band's identity to their music. Here is an excerpt from the Biography section:
Born from thunder, rise like the tide.
Taking inspiration from 'bronte' Greek for thunder and 'tyde' old English for tide, Brontyde is metal by nature.
Like our name, our music is inspired by the dynamics of the elements. Hear us rage like thunderstorms and whisper like crashing waves. Ride on our melodies and resonate with our heavy riffs.

Why I Wrote What I Wrote:
Having been a while since my last commercial project, my copywriter instincts worked overtime while conversing with said video producer cum musician friend on values we both hold true and live by. Inspired by his statement about passion included here, I selected some befitting shots from his collection, then created additional quotes around professionalism and performance based on what the visuals told me:
Passion.
It's about the culture you create, and how you create it to be.
Professionalism.
When effort meets expectation, and sometimes supersedes it.
Performance.
All that you are, with all that you got, for all that you do.
